Who you are
- If you're energised by the intersection of operational rigour and emerging technology, and you want your work to have a direct impact on the experience of hundreds of people across the globe, this is the role for you
- 1–3 years in HR Operations, People Operations, or a similar operational generalist role - enough grounding to understand what good HR delivery looks like and where it tends to break down
- A demonstrated track record of building things to solve process problems - in any context. This could be automating a reporting workflow, building a tool to replace a manual spreadsheet, or creating a system to manage something previously tracked in email. The domain is less important than the evidence
- Comfortable with automation or AI tools (like Zapier, Make, Power Automate, ChatGPT, or Claude) - you don't need to be technical, but you should have built something yourself, or be genuinely keen to learn
- Exposure to HRIS platforms (Workday, BambooHR, or similar) - expert-level proficiency isn't required, though hands-on BambooHR experience would be a huge plus
- Multi-jurisdiction exposure is advantageous - AU, multi-state US, UK or similar
- Detail-oriented and data-driven - you understand that accuracy in systems and records is foundational, not optional
- A builder at heart - you look at inefficient processes and feel compelled to fix them, not just flag them
- A collaborative partner - you work well across teams and time zones, and you know when to bring others in and when to move independently
- Curious and growth-oriented - you're excited by the opportunity to work at the frontier of AI in People Operations, and you bring a learning mindset to everything you do

What the job involves
- At Culture Amp, our People Operations team exists to build a better world of work, starting with our own Campers. As our People Operations Partner, you'll be at the heart of how we deliver a seamless, fair, and human-centred employee experience
- This is a role for someone who doesn't just process transactions, you look at how things work, spot where they break down, and actively build something better. You'll partner closely with our People and Systems Analyst to co-create AI-powered solutions that modernise how People Ops runs, while owning the day-to-day lifecycle operations that keep our Campers supported
- Own employee lifecycle operations - Manage end-to-end processing of all employee lifecycle events including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, contract changes, and leave management, understanding jurisdictional requirements and ensuring every Camper transition is handled with care and accuracy
- Co-create AI solutions for People Ops - Partner with the People and Systems Analyst in a genuine co-creation relationship to design, test, and iterate on AI-powered tools that transform how People Ops works. You'll bring the operational knowledge of what a process needs to do, contribute to how it gets built, and own the tooling once it's deployed
- Support compliance and policy coordination - Support the Compliance & Operations Manager by coordinating compliance training (tracking completion, chasing non-completers, maintaining records with AI-powered tools), assisting with policy communications and version control, and maintaining jurisdiction-specific compliance checklists and SOPs to ensure adherence to local requirements and proactively flag anomalies as they arise
- Maintain HRIS data integrity - Treat accurate HRIS data as a non-negotiable standard, understanding that the quality of the team's AI outputs is only as good as the data that feeds them
- Proactively identify and surface process improvements - Spot processes that are manual, repetitive, or error-prone and bring them forward with a clear articulation of the problem, the current state, and what a better version would look like. This is an ongoing expectation, not a periodic exercise

Despite this, the founder and former CEO insists the Unicorn is in a great place to continue pushing its mission, even in this more difficult economic environment.
