Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience working on large-scale systems or services
- Previous experience in software development building distributed systems, primarily with backend technologies like Node.js or GoLang
- A passion for and understanding of what it takes to build and operate secure, reliable systems at scale
- Exposure to API-driven applications using RESTful APIs
- Experience with container deployments and cloud environments
- An understanding of application and cloud security best practices

- We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world
- Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier-0 global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation
- The Provisioning team is at the core of expanding Auth0's capabilities for B2B customers, enabling seamless and automated user lifecycle management at a massive scale
- We build and own the critical features that enterprises rely on to connect their identity sources to Auth0, including SCIM, Google Workspace Directory Sync, and our powerful self-service capabilities
- Our work is highly impactful, helping customers automate the creation, updating, and deactivation of users
- This is a cornerstone for B2B SaaS applications that need to efficiently manage access for their own customers and partners
- We work with NodeJS, GoLang, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and React to build these highly available and scalable services
- Implement features across different layers of the stack using technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and React
- Collaborate with Product and Security teams to help define and continually improve Auth0’s platform and architecture
- Contribute to technical decision-making while striving to hit the right balance between simplicity, flexibility, and reliability
- Identify and resolve production issues and implement fixes for them
- Participate in the team's on-call rotations to make sure we offer our customers the best availability for our services
Our take
Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.
The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.
Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
