Role
Who you are
- Overall 8+ years of experience with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in writing secure, efficient, high-quality Python code using Django framework
- Hand on experience of maintaining and enhancing system architecture on cloud infrastructure
- Understanding of frontend JS frameworks like ReactJs, Angular etc although not mandatory
- Ability to architect and scale services on distributed systems from scratch and maintain them with some experience with implementation of services in a micro-service architecture
- Had experience of mentoring team members and assisting with code review and debugging of software
- The perfect addition to our team will have an independent and self-driven approach with commercial experience working on back-end systems at high-scale startup with strong knowledge of security practices
What the job involves
- As a backend engineer at Updraft, you will design and build server-side components that run seamlessly with client
- You will also be involved in architectural improvements and make sure the efficiency of our code is always on point
- You will build robust and scalable applications and features using internal and external APIs (such as Modulr, Truelayer, Checkout.com) that improve different aspects of existing lending product such as loan application, collections and payments
- You will increase our operations efficiency by building internal tools that automate tasks and save 1000s of man hours
- You will work with the data team to implement data driven changes and features such as pricing etc to our product
- You will work along side front-end team and product team to build new features and products that will change the way people handle their personal finances
