Who you are
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business operations, or as a financial manager at a fast-paced, high-growth startup
- Strong quantitative mindset with expertise in financial modeling, systems design, and process automation
- Comfort working with large, complex datasets and integrating tools such as Looker, SQL, Python, or AI/ML frameworks to derive insights
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to run against problems with little direction, experience knowing when and how to escalate effectively
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Superior story-telling and data visualization capabilities
- A track record of thriving in fast paced environments
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and manage complex projects across multiple teams
- High energy, high integrity leadership style with a positive outlook, collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
- A sense of flexibility and prioritization in juggling both long-term, strategic projects and ad hoc, urgent requests as needed in a fast-paced startup environment
- This role requires active work authorization in the US and we are looking for individuals to be based in NYC or SF
Desirable
- Healthcare experience, ideally within early stage, high growth SaaS or subscription-based business models
- Experience with the Salesforce platform, its architecture, and in-depth understanding of best practices and optimal configurations
What the job involves
- Maven is looking for a self-motivated, quantitative thinker who will play a critical role in our financial strategy and processes as we scale
- Maven’s strategic finance function has broad exposure across the business and shapes strategic and tactical decisions through data-driven insights
- You will have the opportunity to work with operations, growth, clinical, and our executive leadership teams as you build a business model from the ground up and drive company strategy through analytics
- Become an expert on the underlying data architecture supporting Maven's revenue forecasting and identify ways to automate and optimize our models
- Synthesize data from finance, operations, growth, and clinical functions into unified dashboards and insights that drive strategic decisions
- Streamline reporting and insights delivery; Partner with Client Success and Payer Growth to automate external reporting, ensuring consistent, transparent, and data-backed financial narratives
- Identify opportunities for automation in recurring financial workflows, modeling, and performance tracking to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort

The digital health model delivered by Maven is intended to make healthcare services more accessible: it aims to support those that have been marginalized by the traditional health care system.

However, Maven's focused on marginalised groups is what sets it apart.
Maven has received significant funding as it continues to address areas of underrepresented healthcare coverage, such as treatment of postnatal depression. As the company grows, Maven will use this new funding to continue to personalise its platform and enhance its service's cultural flexibility, increasing its support networks across all stages of family and reproductive life. Recent examples of expansion is new product offering for personalised support for those trying to conceive naturally.
