Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years’ experience in Python development in a production environment
- Strong experience working with APIs and data pipelines
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data
- Exposure to LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) in practical applications
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and normalisation
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Comfortable working on-site 5 days per week
Desirable
- Experience with entity resolution / data matching (e.g. fuzzy matching, deduplication)
- Exposure to embeddings or vector search
- Experience building AI-powered data workflows or automation tools
- Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
What the job involves
- Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest and process external data (e.g. APIs like Google Places)
- Develop systems to match and reconcile external data with internal datasets (entity resolution)
- Implement confidence scoring logic to assess match quality and accuracy
- Integrate LLMs into backend services for data extraction, enrichment, and reasoning
- Work with large commercial, occupier, and contract datasets
- Improve data quality, reliability, and automation across the platform
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver AI-driven features
- Contribute to internal tools that support search, enrichment, and decision-making workflows

It offers tools for things like address cleansing and figuring out who actually lives at what property, helping companies avoid errors and operate more efficiently. The goal is simple: fix the data upfront so problems don't pop up later.
The business has been seeing real traction too, and its recent £700,000 follow-on investment is a sure sign of that. The funding will help IDenteq build new products, expand into new markets, and grow the team. It appears that the company is moving into the next stage of growth and is on its way to becoming a key player in how utilities manage and trust their data.
