Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in corporate marketing, content strategy, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience managing webinars, events, and customer marketing programs
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including web, social media, and review platforms
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture customer advocacy programs
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Corporate Marketing to lead our corporate marketing initiatives and ensure cohesive, compelling messaging across all platforms
- This role requires a creative thinker, skilled communicator, and strong leader with the ability to align marketing efforts to business objectives and drive engagement with diverse audiences
- As Director, Corporate Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our messaging strategy, developing impactful content, fostering customer advocacy, and delivering exceptional webinar and event experiences
- This position requires cross-functional collaboration to support brand growth, customer engagement, and lead generation
- Brand Strategy and Identity
- Work with the VP of Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values
- Define the brand's unique selling proposition and competitive advantage in the market
- Manage Panopto’s brand identity, including brand guidelines, logos, visual assets, and brand messaging
- Lead Content Strategy & Development
- Oversee the creation, management, and optimization of web content to ensure it reflects the company’s brand voice, messaging, and goals
- Develop and manage a robust blog strategy to drive engagement and thought leadership
- Create and maintain a dynamic content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns and corporate goals
- Develop compelling case studies, customer references, and other customer-focused content
- Collaborate Across Departments
- Work with product management, marketing and sales to help implement product marketing strategies. Coordinate with the greater marketing team to identify and fill gaps in the buyer’s journey
- Content creation and messaging: drive the content strategy through the development of high-impact messaging and attention-grabbing media and visuals that resonate with our target audience and work with the broader marketing team to build and execute content-driven campaigns. Shape Panopto’s story, narrative and all of our content-driven campaigns, evolving and maintaining brand and narrative consistency and standards across channels and campaigns
- Drive Messaging & Campaign Strategy
- Lead the creation and execution of messaging strategies that resonate with target audiences and differentiate the brand in the market
- Ensure consistency of messaging across web, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Expand Brand Reach through Webinars and Events
- Define and execute a comprehensive webinar and event strategy to engage prospects, customers, and partners
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and impactful event outcomes
- Customer Marketing & Advocacy
- Design and implement initiatives to build and sustain strong customer relationships, including newsletters, user groups, and customer-focused webinars
- Foster customer advocacy through programs like case studies, testimonials, review site engagement, and office hours
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to identify and highlight customer success stories
- Social Media Management
- Oversee the company’s social media strategy and execution to amplify reach, drive engagement, and build community
- Stay abreast of trends and innovate to strengthen the company’s social presence
- The Director of Corporate Marketing will report to the VP of Marketing and lead a talented team of social media and event specialists, copywriters, and designers
- This versatile team’s primary mission is to craft and share Panopto’s brand story while aligning closely with market trends, buyer needs, and customer pain points
- By deploying best practices in B2B technology marketing, the team works to elevate Panopto’s relevance and value in the marketplace
- The Director will oversee the management of the content and campaign production calendar, ensuring all marketing initiatives are well-coordinated and on schedule
- This includes ensuring that all teams—internal and external—have the content and resources they need to execute marketing programs essential to driving growth and meeting business objectives
Our take
The concept for Panopto developed in the early noughties when the founders noticed that storing videos on computer hard drives was becoming cheaper than storing them on tape. The company’s foundations were in a free software paid support service that provided the tools for downloading videos onto a computer. Nearly two decades later, Panopto provides educational institutions and enterprise businesses with screencasting, lecture recording, streaming and video content management software.
Panopto’s modern platform offers clients in education, aviation, telecoms, and healthcare, among others, an all-in-one video platform for creating and publishing video content. Its audience engagement tools, alongside GenAI video production software (through the acquisition of Elai), keep the company in step with modern innovations within the content production sector.
Panopto continues to grow its reach and in 2024 launched a cloud hosting service in Japan and acquired cloud hosting and GenAI startups to fuel its growth.
