Who you are

Are you an office management pro looking for a dynamic, international environment?
You have 3-5 years of experience in Office Management, ideally including at a start-up or scale-up
You’re highly detail oriented and organized. You can juggle multiple priorities without letting things fall through the cracks
You are tech savvy and are motivated to get the best out of our systems (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack) and our productivity tools (e.g. Notion, Asana)
You are customer (employee) oriented and enjoy being the face of numa — the first person employees, candidates and guests see when they enter our office
You are an effective communicator, with a friendly and confident demeanor. You’re fluent in English and German, both verbal and written
You’re excited by learning new things and tackling new challenges. No task is too small for you
You identify with our values — especially when it comes to demonstrating guest obsession (and in this case, employee obsession), taking extreme ownership, and never settling for the status quo

What the job involves

As our Office Manager, you are responsible for the smooth daily running of our new HQ at the Potsdamerplatz in Berlin
You are both the face and the backbone of our office, making sure all our employees and guests feel comfortable, and office operations run seamlessly
Manage daily office operations, including deliveries, suppliers, keys/access, printers, snacks, invoices, etc
Support the handling of our virtual (Dropscan) and physical mail by reviewing and distributing inbound mail to the relevant team members
Lead the planning and execution of employee events like company parties, office drinks, all-hands watching parties, etc
Help employees and guests with their office-related queries
Support the employee onboarding workflow through contract signature management, tech and swag shipments, welcoming new hires for a tour around the office, etc
Share your ideas about how to make our office more engaging and our processes more efficient and sustainable

Our take

While the short-term rentals market has exploded over the previous decade, led by AirBnb, no startup has managed to guarantee quality for consumers while delivering revenue to hotels and hosts alike. NUMA aims to fill that gap.

The company differentiates itself in the eyes of consumers, from competitors like Sonder, by including properties at all price points, as well as appealing to third-party hoteliers with its own tech stack solution for a percentage of revenue.

With its initial expansion hopes hindered by the pandemic, the company is now back to its focus on scaling across Europe. By growing its number of units, NUMA will be able to better serve ‘midstay’ customers who seek to stay for one month or longer in different cities, as well as catering to the new nomadic workforce.
