Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of years of product design experience
- A portfolio that showcases a strong foundation in core product design and accessibility principles, demonstrated through thoughtfully designed, tested, and shipped experiences with depth and clarity
- Experience designing and prototyping complex workflows, including animations, with Figma
What the job involves
- Remitly is looking for a motivated and collaborative Product Designer II who's ready to grow their craft and impact
- In this role, you'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to help shape intuitive and engaging user experiences
- You'll contribute to all phases of the design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and handoff, while advocating for our users and helping our team deliver thoughtful, high-quality solutions
- This role reports to a Senior Product Design Manager
- Drive the design process for your projects from end to end, including discovery and concept ideation, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and other interaction design deliverables
- Proactively explore a wide range of design solutions, clearly articulating trade-offs to inform decisions and drive alignment
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams, communicating proactively, seeking diverse perspectives, and working closely with product managers, engineering, content design, and research to define customer problems and deliver user-centered solutions
- Leverage your design expertise and our design system to create cohesive, scalable, and accessible experiences

The emergence of digital banks with low transaction fees cross-country has increased competition in a space where Remitly was dominant for many years. The company must continue to innovate its product to ensure it is the go-to place for these types of payments.
That said, Remitly continues to partner with exciting companies and improve their service for loyal customers. The company is setting its sights beyond its core remittance service, such as through the introduction of Passbook, an app that allows customers to access digital banking through a partner bank.
