What the job involves
- We’re hiring a Growth Lead, Acquisition to own that problem end-to-end:
- Identify a new non-Google channel
- Make it viable through creative and execution
- Scale it responsibly
- Decide what lives and what dies
- Please note: This is not a coordination role. This is an ownership role
- Your job is to build and scale a new acquisition channel outside of Google, with creative as the primary lever
- Within ~90 days, success looks like:
- Meta, TikTok, or another non-Google channel - or amalgam thereof - producing at least $100k of new ARR per month
- Scaling at or below target CAC payback or target CAC:cohorted cash 3yr LTV ratio (net of experimental spend)
- A repeatable creative testing system that produces winners
- Clear conviction on whether the channel is worth further capital
- You are accountable for outcomes, not just experimentation
- You will..
- 1. Own New Channel Creation
- Launch, test, and scale non-Google channels (Meta, TikTok, affiliates, influencers, etc.)
- Start from zero, not from mature, inherited accounts
- Own spend, pacing, and scale decisions within a ~$300k/month budget
- Make clear go / no-go calls on channels quickly
- 2. Own Creative Direction for Acquisition
- Creative is not a downstream input in this role; it is the core growth lever. You will:
- Define creative strategy by channel (angles, hooks, narratives, formats)
- Design creative tests tied to explicit hypotheses
- Drive testing velocity and iteration cadence
- Identify when creative, bidding, targeting, or downstream website or lifecycle is the constraint
- Be responsible for creative production
- You are not necessarily expected to design assets yourself, but you are responsible for what creative exists, why, and on what production schedule. We do not have a dedicated creative resource that you will be handed
- 3. Own Channel-Level Performance
- You are directly responsible for:
- Signup volume by channel
- CAC efficiency, CAC:3yr LTV ratio, and payback trends on your channel(s)
- Incremental MRR contribution from your channel(s)
- Diagnosing performance swings and taking action
- Attribution and reporting already exist. You can use that existing infrastructure to move quickly. You will be provided a strong in-house analytics and attribution resource
- 4. Operate with Speed and Conviction
- Place clear bets with imperfect information
- Kill losers decisively
- Avoid premature optimization
- Communicate simply and honestly about what’s working and what isn’t

Community Phone offers a simple landline phone service for families and business without requiring internet. Powered by the company’s landline base, connecting landline phones to cell towers in the area, customers access unlimited local and long distance calls in the U.S that work during power outages.
Revolutionising the traditional landline, Community Phone has built a cloud phone system that runs inside of landlines and therefore grants customers full control over how to use the phone, such as enabling them to transfer the landline number onto a mobile phone or have calls ring on multiple phones at the same time. Its services are trusted in over 5,000 homes and businesses, including Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks. Wells Fargo, KFC and 7-Eleven.
The company is gradually getting closer to its goal of giving customers the best telecommunications experience in the U.S. It has received investment from Thiel Fellowship, Canaan and Accel as well as landing a place on the Y Combinator. In 2023, Community Phone expanded into California at a time when traditional telephone network providers such as AT&T and Cox Optimum are switching from traditional copper wire to fiber optics, which risks leaving those without internet coverage in the dust.
