Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, is highly analytical and has a strong interest in fintech and data analytics
- About to graduate or recently graduated – we do not expect you to be proficient in all aspects from day one but are looking for a strong willingness to learn and grow
- Experience working with SQL and Python, or a strong willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- A fast learner who enjoys tackling new challenges and working in a dynamic environment
- Basic understanding of or a strong interest in fintech, financial services, or digital banking
What the job involves
- As a Product Strategy Analyst, you will play a key role in the commercial team, helping identify and drive strategic growth initiatives
- You will leverage large datasets to extract insights, uncover trends, and drive business decisions
- Your work will directly impact company growth by driving data-driven decisions and collaborating with key stakeholders
- You will gain hands-on experience using SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools to support commercial strategies and improve business performance
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business risks
- Support strategic growth initiatives by providing actionable insights
- Develop reports and dashboards to visualise key performance metrics
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Risk and Partnerships to support data-driven decision-making
- Communicate findings effectively, presenting insights in a clear and accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

YouLend has benefited from the boom in the financial services industry, but this also means the company has had to compete with a number of other embedded finance startups, such as Weavr. Despite this, YouLend's focus on online merchants has allowed it to remain competitive in its offering. What's more, the company's revenue-based repayments system differentiates its solution from more established loan options.
YouLend's flexibility and the speed with which merchants can obtain funding has allowed it to gain a foothold in the growing embedded finance market. However, it will need to focus on growing its customer base even further if it wants to scale in this competitive space.
