Mobile QA Engineer, Whering

• Proven experience designing and executing automated mobile app test strategies across iOS and Android platforms (e.g., using Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, or similar frameworks)
• Strong understanding of mobile app testing patterns, including device fragmentation, OS version coverage, and emulator/simulator vs. real device testing
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), collaborating with developers to integrate mobile test suites and optimise feedback loops
• A code-first approach to testing. You can build modular, maintainable test frameworks that developers can easily contribute to within their PRs
• A systems thinker who can identify and resolve flaky tests to maintain a high-trust, green-build culture
• Ability to implement performance and reliability checks on mobile, monitoring app launch times, UI responsiveness, memory usage, and crash rates to ensure a seamless user experience
• Familiarity with API-level testing and the ability to integrate backend contract/integration tests into the broader quality strategy
