Who you are
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree: You’re a current undergraduate student expected to graduate in the Fall of 2027/Spring of 2028 majoring in Engineering or a related field
- Prior Experience: You've completed at least one previous software engineering internship, or have built substantial personal or academic projects you're excited to talk through
- Availability: This is a full-time, 8-week program running June 21 - August 13, 2027. You are available to work in our New York City office at least 3-4 days a week throughout
- Proactive & Collaborative Attitude: You have an act-like-an-owner mentality, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and enjoy working with others to achieve collective goals
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy tackling complex challenges, analyzing problems, and developing solutions. Clear communication of ideas is one of your strengths
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: You’re a keen listener with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently

What the job involves
- Team Integration: As an intern, you’ll be an essential part of our engineering team, working alongside skilled professionals on cutting-edge projects. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Platform, Product, and more, gaining exposure to the broader business
- Real-World Projects: You’ll take on a variety of projects that align with your skills and interests, contributing to key engineering initiatives. By the end of the program, you’ll showcase your work through a final presentation to your team and peers
- Skill Building & Career Growth: Throughout the internship, you’ll attend workshops focused on technical skills, resume building, interview prep, and professional development. You’ll also have the chance to engage with company leadership during networking events
- Mentorship: Receive guidance and feedback from your manager, as well as a dedicated mentor who will help you navigate your internship experience, ensuring continuous learning and growth
- Program runs June 21 - August 13, 2027 (8 weeks, full-time, in our NYC office)
Application process

- No offer decisions will be made until the application window closes – all candidates are evaluated together before final decisions go out
- We are targeting a finalized cohort by December 1, 2026
- If there are intern spots still available, we may reopen applications in Spring 2027

Our take
Traditional banking hasn't worked for millions of Americans who are underserved or priced out of the system. High fees, minimum balance requirements, and tough credit checks create barriers that keep everyday people from building financial stability. OnePay is already helping millions of consumers and has earned a 4.8-star app rating. More recently it announced crypto trading for Bitcoin and Ether, and partnerships with Workday Wellness and Klarna, further expanding its offerings. With this momentum, the platform is really positioning itself as a true one-stop financial hub.
