Role
Who you are
- Previous experience in working with Hardware and/or Software for consumer focussed companies is highly advantageous
- You will demonstrate exceptional commercial acumen, as well as high attention to detail and are able to contribute to a growing and talented finance and legal team. Enjoying and thriving in a growing business with a deep founded love of Law and Business
- Qualified to practise law in UK or Hong Kong, with Mandarin/ Cantonese language skills
- Demonstrable experience practising law relating to general corporate with a reputable law firm in UK, Hong Kong or US
- 3-5 Years PQE
- Experience on smartphone and/or consumer electronics is preferred
- Report to the General Counsel, working on site in the London HQ 5 days per week
What the job involves
- Nothing is looking for a passionate Legal Counsel to take responsibility for the UK, EU & USA
- You will help define and develop our legal operations, issues and strategy, working closely and reporting into the General Counsel in our HQ in London
- You will operate with autonomy and within the international team and be excited to take on new tasks and projects in a fast paced environment
- Legal advice and research on laws and regulations
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of global manufacture, procurement, sales, and other business-related contracts
- Drafting of guidelines, policies and templates
- Review of marketing materials and marketing campaigns
- Communication with Regulatory Authorities
- Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsel
- Support in promoting the Compliance Program
- Support and advice to the finance, tax, sales and HR department
- Liaise with the other regional legal team
- Further develop the Legal & Compliance Department

The company launched a follow-up device called Nothing Ear in 2024, a wireless headphone with Chat GPT integrations. If this is as well received as its predecessor then Nothing could grow into a household name.
