- UI craftspeople. A background in visual design is not required but a well-practiced eye for detail & aesthetics absolutely is. Your shipped mobile app work needs to knock our socks off

- Team-players. Our secret sauce is our team dynamic; we don’t have time for egos
- 8+ years of relevant experience, native mobile app design experience required
- Experience with Figma, conducting research, and working with animation tools like Rive or Lottie
- Technical acumen and experience designing for complex problems and tools
- Ability to self-direct and lean on their own prioritization methods to get their work done in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience designing, building, maintaining and implementing design systems
- Team and/or project management experience
What the job involves
- The Fetch Product Design team is responsible for the entirety of design within the Fetch app—from user experience design to creative direction and production. Our goal is to deliver a fun experience that our shoppers (and partners) love and can’t live without
- Fetch is looking for experienced Lead Product Designers to join our team. You will be working within a focused, balanced team; it is your responsibility to lead efforts which measurably improve people’s lives
- You will guide our team’s culture through mentorship and thought leadership. You will help Fetch level-up by infusing user-centered practices across the organization
- By month 3 you will be…
- Launching design to production regularly
- Intimately familiar with the Fetch app; using it in your daily life
- Integrated within your team
- Understanding your team’s focus, goals, and KPIs
- Developing strong working relationships with your pack, Product owner and Tech lead as well as outside of your team (key stakeholders and other cross-functional teams)
- Leading design critiques of your work with cross-functional stakeholders and peers
- Collaborating with other design leads on Design Ops initiatives
- Running usability studies

- Influencing & making decisions within your team
- Exploring the unknowns through research—what opportunities are untouched or undiscovered? You’ll partner with our UX Researcher for problem spaces that need design strategy

Our take
Leading mobile shopping and loyalty platform Fetch has seen explosive success in recent years. Its concept is simple: users receive spendable points in exchange for scans of their shopping receipts.
The app has tens of millions of daily active users with even more downloads, and has seen impressive growth, having now reached 'unicorn' status twice over. This should come as no surprise. Brand reinforcement is crucial to customer retention and acquisition - but it is harder than ever, with the fragmentation of choice on the market and the declining efficacy of marketing. So material loyalty benefits are likely to prove a crucial tool in creating and leveraging a strong customer base.
Whilst Fetch faces competition from similar receipt-scan rewards platforms like ReceiptPal and Ibotta, it grew into a profitable company in late 2023. And its using its most recent Morgan Stanley-backed funding to aggressively add brand partners at a competitive pace and onboard staff at a level that promises strong continued growth.
