Senior Director of Security Vendor & Technology Strategy, Salesforce

• You have 10+ years of extensive experience in security technology strategy, vendor management, or a related domain, including leading portfolio rationalization or large-scale consolidation efforts
• You've built decision frameworks and translated them into repeatable, defensible processes
• You bring strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
• You understand the security tooling landscape and how capabilities map to organizational risk

• We are seeking a Senior Director to lead the rationalization of our security vendor and technology portfolio and bring strategic discipline to how we invest in, build, buy, and manage security capabilities
• This leader will turn a sprawling landscape of security vendors into a coherent, defensible portfolio and establish the frameworks and operating processes that govern go-forward decisions and vendor engagement across the organization. This is an individual contributor role
• Rationalize the current portfolio of security vendors, identifying overlap, consolidation opportunities, and gaps to reduce complexity, cost, and risk
• Develop a security economics practice that drives cost clarity on tools, including unit costs for vulnerability identification and remediation
• Build repeatable decision frameworks and lightweight tooling that guide investment, divestment, build, and buy decisions across the security stack, and design a disciplined vendor engagement process for our multifaceted vendor relationships
• Partner with security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to align technology strategy with organizational priorities and budget, and establish governance, metrics, and reporting to track portfolio health over time
