- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting, or related discipline preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in Billing Operations, and/or Collections
- Strong problem solving skills and an interest in continuous process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with all levels and cross-functionality across the organization
- Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions and effectively present information to managers, peers and third parties
- Experience with accounting ERP systems in previous role(s) (NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Driven to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project management skills and a fierce entrepreneurial spirit
What the job involves
- Zocdoc’s most important asset is our people. As a Billing Operations Associate you’ll play a meaningful role in ensuring that Zocdoc customers have a smooth end to end billing to payment experience
- Provide day to day assistance with Billing and Collections workflows
- Execute manual Billing processes
- Resolve internal escalations for the team
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide a seamless billing to payment process for our clients
- Assist with and execute the month end close process for invoice creation across all account segments
- Review and record all incoming cash to our designated Accounts Receivable bank accounts
- Own the Cash Application process by applying all manual payments, reviewing automated Cash Application Manager (CAM) transactions, and reconciling payment and credit transactions
- Create and maintain weekly Accounts Receivable reports and review with Billing Operations Manager
- Collaborate with the Billing Operations Manager on customer billing requests
- Assist with creation, maintenance and adherence to Company billing policies
- Answer ad hoc questions from throughout the organization related to collections and billing
- Identify areas of improvement in Zocdoc’s billing system and collaborate with the Product team on enhancements
