Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is required
- 4-6 years of related experience is required
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor others
- Certifications Required (or to be obtained within 90 days of starting employment): AZ-900 and AI-900
- Demonstrated expertise in .NET
- Strong communication skills

- In the position of Sr Software Engineer I at Softheon, you'll lead significant aspects of our software development efforts, using your expertise to design, develop, and refine solutions that advance our healthcare technology offerings

- Expert Development: Utilize complete knowledge in specialized areas to architect, develop, and maintain sophisticated software solutions with .NET
- Innovative Solutions: Suggest variations in approaches to complex software problems and contribute significantly to the development of new theories and methods
- Leadership and Project Management
- Project Leadership: Lead small projects effectively, managing timelines and deliverables with a high degree of competence and independence
- Technical Authority: Serve as a journey-level professional with complete knowledge of software engineering, providing expertise in the design and development of new applications and features
- Mentorship and Team Development
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor and guide for junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and understanding of software development best practices
- Analytical Problem Solving and Strategic Collaboration
- Analytical Problem Solving: Employ advanced problem-solving techniques to address problems of diverse scope, analyze data effectively, and develop innovative solutions
- Strategic Collaboration: Build and enhance relationships with senior internal and external partners, advising on complex matters and persuading stakeholders when necessary

- Collaborate with the Talent team to actively engage in the hiring and recruitment process, including but not limited to participating in interviews
- Leverage industry networks and expertise to identify and attract top talent that aligns with the company's objectives and values
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members within your department and across diverse functions
- Play an integral role in shaping and reinforcing the overall company culture, promoting values that enhance teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement
- Additional Responsibilities
- Must be available for on-call duty during peak periods, providing support outside of regular working hours as needed to ensure the timely resolution of critical issues

Softheon is a cloud-based eligibility, enrolment, and billing provider for health plans and government agencies. With over 20 years of experience, its platform has now affected millions of people and has processed over $25B in premiums since the inception of the Affordable Care Act.
Although an older player, the company is certainly not stuck in the past. Following an initial foray into AI by creating a machine learning algorithm that predicts who would be at risk of letting their insurance coverage lapse, Softheon has acquired NextHealth in order to enhance its AI capabilities for health plans.
Not only has this pricked the ears of investors - including those of NextHealth itself - but these fresh tools will no doubt bear significant value and reduced costs.
