Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 1- 2 years of sales experience in startups and/or entrepreneurial environments
- Track record of sales in cold calling and emailing are helpful
- Comfortable using marketing automation platforms and CRM – Salesforce experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in prospecting, developing, and handoff sales
- Experience in customer service and relationship building are highly desirable
- Experience working on a team and leading a team player mentality
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit – WeWork is a key player in the future of workspace, meaning each employee will be given significant responsibility and autonomy. What the job involves
- WeWork is currently seeking a Sales Development Representative
- This full-time position is based in New York City and will report directly to a National Inbound Manager
- This individual will be responsible for working with a successful Inbound team while helping to execute and achieve team sales goals
- Our team is the front lines of the sales process, which is why we need individuals who understand and are passionate about the WeWork experience
- Work with a team of Sales Development Representatives
- Nurture, develop, and handoff leads that ultimately result in booked tours/meetings set with our Leasing Team
- Carry out processes implemented by the National Inbound Manager
- Provide regular updates to your team about objectives and processes
- Develop and handoff leads through sales processes
- Work with the SMB Strategy Team to achieve team goals
- Work with automation platforms to efficiently input and track data
- Own the sales process: inbound lead qualification, prospecting, pipeline building and opportunity identification
- You are a jack of all trades: you will do anything needed to support the Inbound team in order to achieve team goals
- Work towards/maintain 100% building occupancy through achieving booked tour goals/meetings set
- Communicate the WeWork brand and lifestyle to ensure the highest conversion rate of booked tours/meetings set
- Provide unmatched customer service to potential prospects to ensure an excellent start to their member experience
Our take
WeWork is a commercial real estate company that pioneered the shared workspace market, providing spaces for anyone from freelancers to Fortune 500s. Traditional leases typically require businesses to commit to an office for 5-10 years, whilst WeWork allows its members to scale up from a single hot desk to a private office or custom-built suite, depending on their needs.
WeWork has hundreds of locations across the globe, with hundreds of thousands of members. While its initial rapid growth and dominance in key global hubs was impressive, it has since had to scale back and strategically re-align itself in an unstable economic climate.
There is certainly still potential for WeWork to see renewed growth and success, especially as remote and hybrid working continues to be popular. That said, observers will have to wait to see the eventual affect of its restructuring - and only time will tell what the company's future looks like.
