What the job involves
- We're looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Financial Products Authorisation Optimisation team in Amsterdam
- This team works on maximizing issuing authorization rates by approving legitimate transactions while minimizing fraud, as well as providing authentication services for the whole Financial Products solution

- As a Software Engineer I on this team, you'll contribute to building and maintaining the real-time risk engine that evaluates issuing and banking transactions, our ACS (Access Control Server), and Strong Customer Authentication services
- Your work will directly impact how our customers pay with their Adyen-issued cards and authenticate for their transactions
- Develop and implement new features for the services owned by the team
- Work closely with our Issuing and Banking teams
- Learn and influence our approach to fraud prevention and authorisation rate maximization
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to understand requirements, design solutions, and resolve technical challenges
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure software
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment
- Help troubleshoot and debug issues in our production systems
- Apply best practices in software development, including testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Receive targeted mentorship and guidance from senior engineers, accelerating your learning and professional development
