- This isn’t your first rodeo. You have 4+ years of Finance, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting experience

What the job involves
- Strategic Finance at Zapier is responsible for addressing some of our most business critical challenges
- Our team combines deep analysis with a strong understanding of our business priorities to help shape decision-making, evaluate new investments, and drive efficient capital allocation
- We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Corporate Strategic Finance team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and operations
- This role blends high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution across core areas of corporate finance
- You’ll take a holistic view of the business, help drive resource allocation decisions, support board and competitive intelligence efforts, and partner closely with our G&A teams to enable scalable, data-driven growth
- Own financial planning processes – Lead components of the monthly and annual planning cycles, partnering with teams across the business to build and refine forecasts, drive efficiency and allocate resources
- Drive strategic insights – Analyze key trends in revenue, costs, and growth metrics to inform executive decision-making and identify areas for optimization
- Develop scalable models – Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario planning, new initiatives, and strategic investments
- Be a cross-functional partner – Collaborate with R&D and G&A teams to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance
- Support executive reporting – Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and internal leadership reviews that clearly communicate financial performance and key business drivers
- Enhance financial systems and tools – Work with strategic finance systems to improve planning accuracy, automate reporting, and streamline workflows
- Conduct competitive and market analysis – Track industry trends, benchmark performance against peers, and synthesize insights to inform strategic planning and positioning

As people used more software services, Zapier founders saw the need to connect the actions between these softwares and save everyone some time.
Zapier is the largest integration and automation tool for businesses. Since being founded, Zapier has grown its suite of automation offerings across almost every mainstream software service. The company is one of the most successful to come out of Y Combinator, and has also been one of the pioneers of remote working.
Zapier has so far, been able to capitalise heavily on its advantage as first entrants and has had very little actual competition. Software services aren't going anywhere anytime soon and organisations are only going to need more of them. This puts Zapier in a strong place growth-wise but also opens up room for bolder companies to get in on the action. Companies like Airtable and Integromat are already preying on more niche segments of Zapier's market share.
