What the job involves

Now, we’re looking for a People Operations Administrator to join our team

Coordinate onboarding logistics by setting up new hire profiles in HR systems and partnering cross-functionally with IT to arrange equipment delivery
Prepare and issue employment documentation, including offer letters and employment contracts
Carry out Right to Work checks to ensure full legal compliance
Own data entry and maintain accurate employee records across HRIS platforms such as Cezanne and Workday, including promotions, address updates, and salary changes, in line with UK GDPR requirements
Monitor and track employee absences, including annual leave and compassionate leave, ensuring compliance with Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) regulations
Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee queries relating to company policies and processes, including maternity leave and jury service
Support employee experience and workplace culture initiatives through engagement surveys, wellbeing programs, and team events
Provide ad hoc support to the Talent Acquisition team as needed

Our take

Gopuff was an early player in the last-mile delivery space, offering consumers access to a wide range of consumer goods (including food and alcohol) with delivery in ~30 minutes through its network of micro fulfillment centers, from which a fleet of drivers pick up and drop off orders.

Gopuff currently operates in over 1,000 cities and is adding more. The company has also made several strategic acquisitions to charge its growth – including UKs Fancy and Dija, and US BevMo!. However, the company faces increased competition on all sides, from Getir (who recently acquired Gorillas), Glovo, and Zapp, as well as high operating costs.

To combat its competition, the company has added a range of new capabilities to its platform, launching features to eliminate former pain points by including advance order scheduling, gifting, and in-store pickup.
