Role
Who you are
- 2+ years as an individual contributor in an SDR position (in-field experience)
- 2+ years of SDR Management experience, building and scaling SDR teams
- Prior experience selling B2B SaaS with some technical knowledge required
- Experience selling into the nonprofit space is a bonus, but not required
- Experience with CRM reporting (Hubspot preferred) and data insights (Gong, Chorus, etc)
- Excited to tackle problems head on with a collaborative mentality. You’ll work closely with the RevOps & Marketing teams to build out datasets and lead lists
- Have spent time in seat as an SDR themselves with high success, having developed both experience and knowledge around opening tactics, personas, objection handling, meeting scheduling, etc
- Recently scaled an SDR team or motion, resulting in a knack for process development and building adaptable motions that are scalable
- Lead with a data-centric mindset to inform decisions, understanding that Givebutter’s focus is to build and leverage a high-volume, intelligent SDR motion across a large NPO TAM
- Have the ability to proactively see gaps and solve for them, taking the solution to the problem effectively with quick trend spotting while working with the SDRs, RevOps, and Sales Leadership to resolve seamlessly
- Willingness to test and iterate consistently, knowing that a scalable motion requires agility, constant refinement of outreach tactics, and excitement vs. a one-size-fits all approach that struggles to adapt to updated GTM strategy
- Prioritize details and lead with a clear why behind monitoring and optimizing SDR performance, quota attainment, and key metrics to ensure the team churns out results
- Eagerness to butter up the team, leading by example and setting a high standard for excellence within the SDR motion as it scales
- Are based in Eastern, Central, or Mountain US Time Zones
What the job involves
- Givebutter is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager to build and scale the initial SDR motion. Givebutter has a strong Marketing, Sales (AE) team, and we are looking to build out a new segment of our lead funnel with an SDR motion
- As the SDR Manager, you'll report to the Director of Sales and be the driving force behind our outbound sales efforts, spearheading initiatives to generate and qualify leads that fuel our company's growth
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success launching an outbound sales effort and are excited to build one at Givebutter to help scale our business and positively impact as many nonprofits as possible!
- Be SDR #1 for two quarters to prove out the SDR motion and scalability of it. Be an SDR on the phones 90% of your day, scheduling meetings for AEs
- Transition from being the first SDR to scaling and managing a team of SDRs to scale the motion to thousands of calls each week
- Hire, train, and manage a team of SDRs who care about closing deals while truly caring about helping nonprofits
- Work closely with the RevOps & Marketing teams to streamline and automate the lead list creation, transfer of leads to AEs, and increase book rate from calls
- Create the SDR playbook; how to call, objections, details, verticals, and more
- Ideate on automations; followup sequences, voicemail drops, linkedin connections, and more
Our take
The rise of crowdfunding has helped democratize fundraising for for-profit companies, but the infrastructure for non-profits has lagged behind. Givebutter sets out to change this, supplying a feature-rich, easy to use fundraising platform for the "changemakers of today", which has been used to raise millions of dollars for good causes.
Crucially, unlike other crowdfunding platforms, 100% of the donation typically goes to the campaign, with Givebutter making its money entirely through tips and occasional but transparent transaction fees. In 2022, the company raised capital that has been put to work developing the product to be fit for all types of fundraising.
Having already seen impressive success in certain segments, these new development efforts will help expand Givebutter's reach. For example, it launched a CRM to help it reach more small, local nonprofits, and has released the industry's first donor-advised fund (DAF) donate button, through which donors can recommend a nonprofit for a donation in just three clicks.
