What the job involves
- As the Senior Manager of Influencer Affiliate Marketing, you will build and scale a next-generation affiliate program that positions RTR as a best-in-class partner for creators.
- You’ll reimagine how affiliate, creators, and commerce intersect—expanding RTR’s presence across priority platforms and talent agencies while driving meaningful, incremental growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-impact channel from both a strategic and creator-first perspective
- Build, scale, and strategically own a high-impact affiliate ecosystem across creators and influencers, designed to drive incremental revenue, net-new customer acquisition, and long-term channel growth
- Develop and operationalize a scalable, performance-driven commission framework (tiers, bonuses, exclusives, incentives) that balances creator motivation with profitability and sustainable unit economics
- Recruit, onboard, and systematically convert creators into high-performing affiliates through proactive outbound sourcing, inbound application review, and structured, fluid onboarding programs
- Own end-to-end affiliate execution and strategic oversight, including cross-agency management and leadership, across influencer affiliate programs and platforms—ensuring operational excellence, clean tracking, accurate attribution, and timely payouts
- Manage and deepen exclusive, high-value partnerships with top-performing influencers, including negotiated commission structures, custom offers, priority placements, and long-term growth plans
- Activate affiliates at scale to drive consistent, high-quality UGC and commerce performance through seeding strategy, posting prompts, offer calendars, performance challenges, and tier-based incentives
- Scout, evaluate, and secure strategic platform, agency, and commerce partnerships (e.g., Substack, TikTok, affiliate networks, influencer agencies) that extend reach, enhance creator supply, and demonstrate true incremental lift
- Partner cross-functionally with Business Intelligence, Growth, CX, and agency teams to design, test, and evolve a best-in-class affiliate program that serves both the business and the creator ecosystem
- Track, analyze, and forecast affiliate performance (GMV, revenue, traffic, ROI, incrementality), delivering executive-ready reporting, insights, and optimization recommendations to guide strategic decision-making

Rent the Runway seeks to profit from two important trends in apparel consumption: wanting to stay on top of the latest fashion trends while living and purchasing sustainably. By providing a platform for women to rent designer pieces, its users can have it all.
The company allows users to rent, subscribe, or buy designer apparel and accessories. It achieves this with its network of partnerships with hundreds of top designers and managing the crucial but complicated logistics in-house. It offers its partnered brands sophisticated analytics about potential customers in return for lower prices on designer garments.
Rent the Runway is now focused on diversifying revenue streams while reducing its costs. Its recent partnership with Amazon is an example of this new direction: while it will use this channel to sell clothes previously rented through its platform, it will, for the first time, be selling new clothes based on rental items modified in line with market data.
While moves such as this may well shift Rent the Runway towards profitability, it also risks undercutting the company's central message of sustainability and supporting the circular economy.
