Who you are

This is a hands-on role that combines analytical precision with strong communication and organizational skills
Associates' or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in ASC 606 revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, or collections; international experience a plus
Experience in a recurring revenue or subscription-based environment - Must
Strong understanding of invoicing, AR reconciliations, and collections best practices
Hands-on experience with ERP or finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy under tight deadlines
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success teams
Proactive, process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience supporting both US and Canadian customers preferred
Extensive knowledge of Excel, and Google Sheets is a must. Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Experience working with payment portals such as COUPA, Amazon Payee Central, etc

What the job involves

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Billing & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team in Teaneck, NJ
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing the end-to-end billing and collections process across the US and Canada
You’ll ensure accurate invoicing, maintain healthy accounts receivable, and provide a seamless customer experience by partnering closely with Finance, Sales Operations, and Customer Success
Generate, review, and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile billing data across finance systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
Review and process monthly revenue recognition journals in accordance with ASC 606
Manage customer accounts, monitor AR aging, and proactively follow up on overdue balances
Partner with Sales Operations and Customer Success teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
Maintain and report on AR aging, cash collections, and DSO metrics across all entities
Assist with monthly close activities related to billing, collections, and revenue recognition support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing workflows and improve system efficiency
Provide exceptional customer service in all billing communications and collection efforts
Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Order to Cash function
Process customer payments, Post daily cash receipts
Verify contracts, change orders, and supporting documentation before invoicing

UVeye has developed contact-free vehicle inspection systems that leverage AI, ML, and computer vision to swiftly detect faults and abnormalities in vehicles. It’s a broadening out of UVeye’s original remit, which was inspection devices for military and police organisations - although sensitive security facilities like embassies and power plants still make up a critical part of UVeye’s business.

This pivot provided a real shot in the arm for UVeye, especially for its US expansion, where it struck gold in the automotive sector. Healthy funding has now come from major players like Toyota Tsusho, Hyundai Motors and Volvo, and the latter has committed to a long-term contract to install the tech in all its North American dealerships.

UVeye is astutely doubling down on its penetration into the $100B+ US automotive industry through flirting with expansions into the insurance sector - it’s partnered, for example, with W.R. Berkley. Insurance tech in this region is throwing itself into data-led digital transformation, and a system that allows UVeye to explore this kind of partnership alongside lucrative manufacturing and defence contracts makes for a very promising position indeed.
