Role
Who you are
- 5–8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales, or partner GTM roles
- Experience working in fintech, payments, commerce platforms, or SaaS ecosystems
- Proven ability to drive revenue through partner-driven sales motions
- Experience collaborating closely with sales, product, and external partner teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to commercial audiences

What the job involves
- Adyen is looking for a Senior Payment Partnership Manager, Partner Growth to drive adoption and growth of our key payment methods in North America
- In this role, you will work closely with our payment partners and commercial teams to identify high-value opportunities, coordinate joint go-to-market motions and accelerate merchant adoption
- You’ll work closely with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders building strategic and successful relationships
- This is a full-time position based in our Chicago, New York, or San Francisco office, reporting into our Head of Payment Partnerships for North America
- Strategic Partnership Management: Build and nurture relationships with key payment method partners. Define and execute a GTM strategy for a portfolio of alternative payment methods. Coordinate joint outreach and sales motions between partner teams and internal commercial teams
- Enable Internal Commercial Teams: Drive internal enablement for commercial teams by developing merchant target lists, driving coordinated outreach, training commercial teams, supporting strategic merchant opportunities and developing repeatable playbooks
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product and commercial teams on market insights and technical requirements to accelerate product development and commercialization efforts

Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.
Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
