Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 2-5 years professional experience (exposure to the software tech industry)
- Positive attitude and team-oriented
- Attention to detail and working with large data sets
- Proven leadership to meet deadlines and ability to understand the “big picture”
- Adaptability to Financial Systems (NetSuite, Floqast, Coupa)
What the job involves
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering timely and accurate reporting of financial statement line items
- The individual will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial reporting and analysis
- Additionally, the role will require liaising with internal and external stakeholders and business executives to ensure the integrity of our financial information
- Hat You’ll Do
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, quarterly roll forwards, and month-end close processes
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for international entities by functional currencies, in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS
- Perform variance analysis on actual vs forecasted results and provide clear, insightful commentary to explain key drivers and trends
- Familiarity with revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Takes initiative to document and improve accounting processes while ensuring compliance with control procedures
- End-to-end accounting and process ownership of assigned general ledger accounts
- Mentor junior staff and provide guidance as needed
- Respond and coordinate with external and internal audit requests
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and assignments and adjust priorities as needed to shifting business needs
- Interface with internal departments to provide accounting support, communicate accounting policies, and coordinate deliverables
- Work in a remote setting independently and across various time zones
