Who you are
- 4+ years of experience managing a development team
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- Expertise in designing highly scalable software solutions
- Proficiency with any of these languages: PHP, Python, Golang, TypeScript, Rust, Lua
- Proficiency with AWS and OpenStack technologies
- Experience with automating various processes, from build tools to monitoring
- Deep knowledge of agile development methodology
Desirable
- Hosting industry experience, for WordPress or otherwise
- Experience integrating software with Ceph, Cilium, Nomad, SELinux, NGINX Unit, and Traefik
- Knowledge of software security best practices

- You’ll celebrate successes and navigate challenges while supporting company-wide initiatives
- Lead a motivated, success-driven engineering manager ready to lead the development of our next-generation WordPress hosting platform
- Experiment with different approaches and technologies
- Delivers feature epics to production in sync with team sprint rhythm, tracks and improves team velocity, and provides reliable delivery estimates
- Translating complex business objectives into simple, scalable solutions
- Embracing a One System mindset and driving platform unification
- Utilizing data and analytics to enhance products and customer experience
- Accountable for code quality, scalability, and testability
