Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
- 1+ years of experience with a blend of public accounting/audit and industry accounting experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a growing operational startup is a plus
- Experience with Netsuite, Excel, and Tableau (or similar) is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt as our needs, team, and company evolve

What the job involves
- The Accounting Analyst is responsible for accurately handling day-to-day accounting processes and financial information, including monthly and annual close processes
- You will work with teams across the company to help manage the flow of documents and information and assist with reporting to the management
- The role will help us to implement and manage accounting best practices alongside preparing financial information to various stakeholders to ensure efficiency, reliability, and timely processing of monthly and weekly reports
- Assist in the completion of month-end and year-end close of financial accounts, in accordance with the close schedule and deadlines
- Prepare month-end closing journal entries including accruals, prepaids, revenue, and cash entries
- Review various general ledger accounts and conduct account reconciliations, including investigating fluctuations to understand the movement of balances
- Collaborate with department managers on expenses, budget, and overall spending
- Manage our accounts payable process by collaborating with our external AP team and liaising with our internal stakeholders
- Support operational finance processes such as expense reimbursements, corporate credit card accounts, and banking transactions
- Assist with the external audits by providing supporting schedules and documentation as requested
- Manage various financial reports, special department-specific projects, and ad hoc reporting as needed

Between 2020-2021, Good Eggs doubled its customer base and saw its revenue increase to over $100 million.
However the grocery delivery market has become an increasingly competitive arena. GoodEggs faces tough competition from big players with large market share, such as Walmart and Amazon Prime/Whole Foods. GoodEggs tries to seek an advantage by providing convenience, quality, and having authentic values, alongside high-profile partnerships with restaurants. The company claims 70% of its products are locally sourced, and it often delivers them within 2 days of harvesting. They also focus on providing a good workplace and remuneration package for their employees.
