Role
Who you are
- We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative and Office Assistant to serve as the operational backbone of our Cambridge office
- This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and enjoys balancing logistics, people support, and cross-functional coordination
- 3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations or people operations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Comfortable managing a variety of priorities in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated flexibility and professional maturity to readily understand priorities and anticipate needs
What the job involves
- This role ensures a seamless day-to-day workplace experience while supporting key people and culture initiatives across the organization
- Own day to day operations in the Cambridge office, ensuring a safe, organized and welcoming work environment
- Maintain high standards across common areas, kitchen spaces, storage, and meeting rooms
- Manage office and kitchen inventory end-to-end, proactively tracking usage and budgetReceive and manage packages, invoices, mail, and vendor deliveries
- Own all office-only vendors end-to-end, including service levels, billing, portal access, renewals, escalations, and performance management
- Coordinate on-site hospitality and visitor access for interviews, leadership visits, team meetings, external visitors, and company events
- Provide people operations support in partnership with HR, including culture initiatives, new hire onboarding logistics (office side), local recruiting coordination, and employee engagement activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support company events throughout the year, including Town Halls and company wide events
Our take
Deep Genomics uses AI to analyze genetic data with the aim of discovering and producing RNA-based genetic medicines. The company is currently running a series of programs with the aim of advancing to clinical trials in the near future.
RNA medical technology has been in development for over 40 years but never became mainstream, but the launch of BioNTech/Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine threw it into the public spotlight. And this is set to accelerate the production of more and more RNA-based therapeutics, supplemented by AI which can quickly mine dense biological data to better evaluate potential candidates.
With its financial backing in the hundreds of millions, Deep Genomics now intends to radically boost its headcount and roll out more therapeutic discovery programs.
