Who you are
- We are looking for a true infrastructure specialist
- Your passion for building resilient, automated, and scalable environments on cloud platforms like AWS, your sharp mind for dissecting problems and finding the root cause, your mastery of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and your experience managing high-performance databases are the skills that will make you successful here
- Automation: experience administrating Jenkins and scripting with PowerShell, Bash, etc
- Experience with Sense Monitoring Dashboard and performance tuning
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration or a related field
- Strong understanding of AWS or GCP services and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of system performance monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Senty, Prometheus, etc)
- Proven track record of managing complex environments and troubleshooting technical issues
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of Iac tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc) and git is desiderable
- Experience with shell scripting and automation tools
- Experience with Data Lake technologies, particularly Google Cloud solutions is a plus
- Experience administrating N8N also is a plus
- Experience with BI tools (Qlik Sense, Pentaho, KNIME, etc) is a plus
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
What the job involves
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure for Qlik Sense and Pentaho deployments
- Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and governance policies
- Monitor AWS resource usage and implement cost optimization strategies
- Monitor CPU and RAM usage to identify performance bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot issues related to system slowdowns or crashes
- Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and alert thresholds
- Monitor and optimize relational database connections (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL), ensuring performance, reliability, and efficient query execution
- Set up and manage environments for Qlik Sense and Pentaho deployments
- Ensure environments are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance
- Qlik Sense Administration: Manage and maintain access to the Qlik Sense Management Console.Configure and optimize Qlik Sense environments for performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot issues related to Qlik Sense applications and servers
- Define best practices and governance for Qlik Sense deployments
- Configure data connections and manage the Pentaho Server
- Set up BA (Business Analytics) and PDI (Pentaho Data Integration) design tools
- Ensure seamless integration of Pentaho with other BI tools
- Design, implement, and manage Data Lakes using Google cloud services
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance within the Data Lake
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Data Lake with BI tools
- Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of tools
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews to ensure conformance to design standards
- Benefit from a flexible schedule with flextime (7 - 9:30 a.m. start, 3:30 - 6 p.m. end)
