Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, with a track record of developing and deploying AI solutions in real-world applications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or C++, and familiarity with libraries and frameworks for machine learning and deep learning, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data structures
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services for AI development and deployment, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies and trends in AI and machine learning
What the job involves
- We are building the next generation of tooling for developers to build autonomous agents. This is an industry leading effort with a potential to change the way enterprise applications are built and run. We strongly believe that this is the future of enterprise applications and we are all set to lead this space
- We are looking for an ML engineer to help build and productionize this platform. This is a critical role for the company and you will bring your expertise and product intuition to help build the product
- As a key member of the team, you will bring in your expertise working on machine learning and AI projects. You have experience building large scale machine learning systems leveraging various models. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for working closely with the product and building the next generation of agentic platform for developers
- Design, develop, and implement AI algorithms and models to solve specific business problems or enhance existing products and services
- Work closely with our internal to understand requirements, gather and preprocess data, and perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights
- Develop machine learning models using techniques such as supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning, depending on the problem domain
- Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency, considering factors such as computational resources and deployment constraints
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring seamless operation and scalability
- Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of AI models using appropriate metrics and validation techniques, iterating as needed to achieve desired outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research in AI and machine learning, and incorporate new methodologies and techniques into our development process
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile development processes to maintain code quality and project timelines
- Document technical designs, implementation details, and best practices for AI development, and share knowledge with team members
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to AI projects

Netflix's development of Conductor, built to cope with the platform's high level of video traffic, has been hugely popular, incorporated by leading brands including Tesla, GitHub and Deutsche Telekom. The creators of Conductor have now launched Orkes, which offers a cloud version of the tool.
The platform has full compatibility with the open source version and microservices and workflow orchestration at scale. Thousands of companies rely on the tool to build and deploy mission-critical applications and execute numerous other use cases, such as data protection workflows or CI/CD pipeline orchestration.
Orkes emerged from stealth following a successful fundraise in 2022, and it has prioritized building out its engineering and go-to-market teams. After further funding was awarded in 2024, Orkes is accelerating its product roadmap, investing in developer experience and adding more resources to its open-source Conductor platform.
