Who you are

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail without losing the big picture, and the ability to work both cross functionally and independently
They are highly organized, are energized by balancing new challenges with the rhythm of monthly reporting needs, and are comfortable communicating across all levels in the organization
Able and willing to come into SF HQ as needed (up to 2x a week)
4+ years of experience in FP&A, with at least 1 year of Corporate FP&A
Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
Advanced Excel/GSheets and PowerPoint/GSlides skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presenting analyses to senior leadership
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
Proficiency with FP&A systems required, Anaplan and Tableau experience is a HUGE plus
Experience in a high-growth global high tech/software/SaaS organization is a plus

What the job involves

Okta is in profitable growth mode. We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Finance Manager who will be a key player in, and is truly excited about, driving and effectively scaling Okta's growth
This person will report to the Finance Director, Corporate FP&A and will partner with Finance peers and leadership to lead Okta’s monthly forecasting process: consolidating, analyzing, and communicating key financial trends that influence our ability to execute against our quarterly plans and guidance
This highly visible role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that is operating at an accelerated pace and scaling for the future
Lead the monthly short-term forecasting process, including reviews with FP&A & Finance Leadership
Own the Benefits & Taxes consolidation and forecast for compensation-related taxes
Partner with FP&A and other key stakeholders to leverage and improve processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness as the company grows and scales
Forecast Okta’s foreign exchange rates and its impact to company financials
Partner with the Tax team to deliver the corporate tax forecast
Some roles may require travel to one of our office locations for in-person onboarding

Our take

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.

The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.

Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
