Who you are
- We’re looking for someone organized and collaborative, who feels passionate about building a vibrant workplace community and creating positive, inclusive spaces for our Staffbase team across Europe
- Previous working experience in office or community management, facilities management, office administration or another relevant field (we’re open to other professions as well)
- German and English language skills on C1 level
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Passionate about working in an international, open and dynamic culture
What the job involves
- This role can be filled with part-time with 32h (Monday-Thursday) or full-time with 40h (Monday-Friday) per week
- Staffbase is seeking a Community Manager for our team and office in Berlin!
- This role is based in our Berlin-Mitte office and requires a mix of in-person engagement and occasional travel to other Staffbase locations
- To make a meaningful impact in this role, you’ll need to be able to work from our Berlin office most of the time
- Create a Sense of Belonging: Work with Berlin located leadership to cultivate inclusivity and community across various working categories (office, hybrid, remote)
- Event Planning: Organize and execute events, rituals, and initiatives that promote community building and align with our company values
- Office Administration and Management: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient office operations, including supply inventory, vendor liaison, and addressing employee queries
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate with community management colleagues from other locations to align processes and procedures globally
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance community management processes and implement new systems
- Team Engagement: Coordinate team-building activities to nurture our teams and maintain a positive work culture
- Facilities and Equipment Management: Correspond with property maintenance personnel and manage office space openings and closings
- Assist with IT equipment needs to ensure our team has the tools required to excel in their roles
Our take
Since launching in 2014, Staffbase has grown into a major name in the internal communications niche. Its platform is used by the likes of Samsung, ALDI, DHL, and Domino’s to create branded, mobile-first communication and information sharing tools which can access a company’s intranet from anywhere.
Staffbase has managed to set itself apart to some extent from the range of other internal communication apps like Slack and Teams by focusing on building a product tailored towards dedicated internal communication teams, rather than taking a more general approach.
This is proving to be a good decision as, with the shift to remote and hybrid working, the last few years have seen Staffbase gather serious momentum. A 2021 merger with Canadian competitor Banantang has been followed up by a series of major funding rounds and a rise to unicorn status. As well as this, it’s been expanding its own product portfolio through a number of strategic acquisitions as it looks to stay ahead of the competition.
