Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or similar customer-facing role. Preferably in SaaS or a technology adjacent industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Basic understanding of the employee benefits industry and HSA landscape
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with benefits administration platforms and HR technology
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to win and help others succeed
- Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Comfortable working with AI and emerging technologies
- Resilient and persistent in finding solutions to complex problems

What the job involves
- We're seeking a sales team Solutions Consultant to be the technical backbone of our sales organization, bridging the gap between our product capabilities and our customers' needs
- In this role, you'll work closely with our sales team to demonstrate the value of Lively's benefits solutions, while gathering crucial insights to drive product and process improvements
- Your success will directly impact the success of the entire sales team
- Partner with Sales reps on all customer and broker-facing demonstrations, providing technical expertise and product knowledge
- Become a subject matter expert on Lively's complete product suite, including platform capabilities, configurations, and integration possibilities
- Capture and analyze customer feedback, synthesizing insights for product, enablement, and customer success teams
- Identify patterns in customer conversations to help improve our sales process and product roadmap
- Support sales representatives through technical coaching and product positioning guidance
- Document common technical questions and create resources to improve team efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex customer requirements
- Provide technical validation of customer use cases and implementation scenarios
- Provide feedback and insight to sales managers, sales reps, product marketing, and product
Our take
Lively is a platform offering modern Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). As high-deductible health plans are regularly replacing traditional deductible plans in many employee benefit schemes, Lively is capitalizing by offering their consumer-first, paperwork-light accounts to employers and individuals.
The startup will use its sizeable investment funding and revenue to build more consumer tools, scale its team and further expand its offerings to financial institutions and employers, exemplified by a 2021 deal to provide accounts via BMO Harris.
While the platform’s product-first approach has seen it successfully achieve $500m AUM faster than any other HSA provider, it is ultimately a savings account provider. That means market turbulence could hurt the company’s bottom line. Despite this, its continual addition of diverse sets of customers should ensure Lively’s growth.
