What the job involves
- We are looking for an Account Executive to join us as one of the founding members of our Self-Serve Sales Team
- This segment represents a huge opportunity for illumin and we are excited to develop this new business unit in Canada and the US
- You will be responsible for evangelizing the value of illumin to new prospects with particular focus on brand-direct opportunities in the mid-enterprise
- This is a hunter role that will take advantage of your best prospecting skills!
- We are a customer-centric team that is passionate about the development of trusted relationships across our customer base
- You will work closely with customers to understand their business objectives and act as their trusted guide to enable our customers to work in new ways
- What You Will Do:
- Manage the full sale cycle, taking a Challenger approach to selling
- Drive ACV within the Self-Serve segment by creating, navigating, and closing opportunities, and making our customers successful with illumin
- Provide recommendations based on a customer's business needs and usage patterns
- Lead multiple customers simultaneously at various stages of the illumin buying cycle
- Drive revenue through tenacious outreach to prospective customers
- Balance inbound customer communication and prioritize/raise issues appropriately including billing, legal, security, and technical inquiries
- Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across their business and the illumin product
Our take
Programmatic advertising has quickly become one of the most important channels for businesses looking to find and convert customers. However, maximising return in the industry is notoriously difficult, which is where Illumin comes in.
Previously known as AcuityAds, the startup focuses on maximising the potential of programmatic advertising while mitigating its major shortcomings. Specifically, that means a fine-tuned machine learning algorithm that utilizes bidding technology to optimize campaigns in real-time. On the other hand, the company prioritises privacy and trust earning long-term partnerships with major brands.
After establishing a strong presence in the Canadian and US markets, the company is looking to pursue international expansion in Europe and Latin America. As it operates in an increasingly saturated market, Illumin will surely have to invest heavily in its central technology to continue to compete, but if its past successes are anything to go by, it certainly remains one to watch.
