Role
Who you are
- As we gear up for our busiest events season of the year, we are seeking someone enthusiastic about events, who communicates clearly, and takes ownership of their work
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, or similar); OR:
- You have a background in another discipline but a strong interest in event production and sustainability
- You are a fast learner, self-motivated, and eager to develop your skills in a real-world setting
- You have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- You communicate clearly and professionally in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus
- You are very well organized and detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, international environment
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Canva, Adobe, Monday.com, Swoogo, WordPress, or other event/marketing tools is a strong plus
- You are available to work from our Amsterdam office and are legally allowed to intern in the Netherlands
What the job involves
- We are looking for a proactive, driven, and detail-oriented Events Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team for a period of 6 months
- This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting global in-person and online events in the fast-paced and impactful world of sustainability data and benchmarks for real assets
- You will play a key role in ensuring our events run smoothly and professionally—working closely with experienced team members and engaging with global partners and stakeholders
- Supporting the planning, logistics, and promotion of global events (in-person and virtual), including webinars, in-person events, and partner activities
- Helping coordinate production elements such as platform/tool setup (e.g., Swoogo, Socialive, Zoom), briefing materials, and run-of-show documents
- Assisting with stakeholder communications, including speakers, partners, and attendees
- Collaborating on digital marketing efforts related to events (email campaigns, social media, website updates)
- Helping maintain and update event-related content on the GRESB website and platforms
Application process
- The candidate will ideally be able to start in May, for a period of 6 months
Our take
The international community has set a target for net zero emissions by 2050, but to make that happen, businesses need reliable data on environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. GRESB was founded in 2009 to provide ESG data on business assets based on self-reported data and has since become regarded as the gold standard for investment managers to assess their ESG performance.
GRESB is the only ESG framework specifically designed for real estate, and it has earned widespread adoption within the industry. The platform now covers over $8T in assets - more than double the amount reported in 2019 - solidifying its reputation as an essential tool for investment managers. This growth reflects the growing emphasis on sustainability in real estate investment and the increasing demand for transparent, reliable ESG data.
The company continues to evolve its ESG model to better serve its users. Recent moves include the acquisition of companies like Asset Resolution, which develops tools for acquiring data from hard-to-measure sectors. Alongside this, the company has substantial funding which will help it further enhance its offerings and play a critical role in the transition to a sustainable, net-zero economy.
