Who you are
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus
- Experience with CRM and Sales systems (Salesforce, Madkudu, Salesloft, Nooks, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
What the job involves
- Halcyon is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients and generating leads within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space.
- The ideal candidate is someone with strong communication skills, a proactive approach to sales, and a passion for the cybersecurity industry
- The assigned territory will focus in the Nordics/Benelux regions - previous experience in these regions required
- Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting - calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Client Engagement: Engage with decision-makers in target companies to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and pain points, particularly related to ransomware threats
- Sales Support: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support and execute strategies for lead generation, campaigns, and outreach
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within our CRM system
- Educate & Qualify: Provide relevant information on our ransomware protection solutions and qualify leads to determine their potential fit for our services
- Nurturing: Follow up with leads and ensure consistent engagement until they are ready for a deeper conversation with an Account Executive or sales team
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively
