Who you are

A combination of experience setting up infrastructure on AWS plus one of either GCP, Azure or on-premises systems
Experience dealing with infrastructure as code using terraform or cloudformation
Experience in setting up and managing Kubernetes
Basic knowledge on cloud security topics such as VPC Peering, Security groups and IAM roles setup

Desirable

Basic knowledge in Python scripting
Experience with some workflow engine for Kubernetes (eg. Argo CD)

What the job involves

This role will be focused on setting up infrastructure across all of the above fields, enabling our engineers to be more productive and playing a role alongside our CTO in advising customers on the optimal integration of our solution within their data platforms
Our sustainable object storage aims to initially function in AWS and On-Prem environments with expansions to GCP and Azure following to enable the potential of our data-agnostic deduplication algorithms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Aside from these integrations, interoperability with Kubernetes is also going to be an important factor to ensure that our customers can integrate our software-defined storage infrastructure into their environments

Our take

The exponential increase in data storage requirements has created a dilemma for businesses, where existing solutions often force a comprise between high costs and low performance. UltiHash recognises the environmental toll of this data explosion and seeks to break the compromise between scalability and affordability.

UltiHash's technology introduces byte-level deduplication, in which redundant data of all types can be eliminated across datasets. This mitigates the need for massive increases in storage capacity, reducing companies' storage needs by a reported up to 50%. This in turn mitigates unnecessary storage and network costs, and facilitates the growth of high-performance applications including machine learning models, business intelligence, and product engineering.

Recent funding underscores investor confidence in UltiHash's approach, which has the potential to make data storage more sustainable and efficient.
