Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 4 years experience, at least 2 years in-house in data analytics role, ideally in a high-growth startup
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation
- Experience with dashboard tools (i.e. Metabase, Looker, Tableau or similar)
- Solid understanding of data visualisation principles and best practices
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively
- Native-level English proficiency
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our fast-growing Series A stage fintech
- This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail
- As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights including building financial and customer dashboards and communicating key recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- We’re looking for someone with startup experience who is comfortable working with imperfect datasets
- The ideal candidate should be well versed in identifying trends and anomalies, cleaning data, distinguishing signal from noise, whilst also having a strong understanding of cause versus correlation in a low volume business
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, finance, operations) to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
- Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor financial performance and customer behaviour
- Analyse large datasets and identify meaningful trends that drive business growth
- Develop SQL queries to gather and manipulate data from multiple sources
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data to support business strategies and optimise operations
