Senior Software Engineer, Dave

• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Computer Science or related discipline
• Other majors will be considered in conjunction with related experience and/or training
• 4+ Years of Software Engineering Experience with a focus on Backend feature development
• Strong CS fundamentals and problem solving skills
• Experience programming in one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++ or Go
• Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback

Desirable

• Dave is looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain underwriting engineering systems that power our core credit products
• Design, build, and maintain the backend code to support features used by millions of users
• Define roadmap and architecture based on technology and business needs
• Backend development in Typescript
• Build pipelines integrating underwriting rules with Machine Learning models
• Regularly participate in code reviews and other team functions
• Provide technical leadership and assist guiding the team's overall technical direction
• Offer mentorship and pair with other engineers regularly
