Role
Who you are
- With 5-10 years of experience behind you as you will own and carry out the strategy of our marketing function for the whole customer lifecycle - from brand awareness to alumni engagement.
- You have experience creating, managing, and optimising engaging content and marketing efforts that drive customer engagement and support lead-generation efforts for our business.
- You feel confident in managing the outreach and promotional part of applications for new program cohorts.
- You're great at organising and managing your time effectively and enjoy working on multiple projects at a time.
- You’re goal-oriented and work hard to achieve them
- You're a self-starter and you enjoy taking the initiative in identifying and solving problems
- You thrive in being accountable for your work
- You enjoy working in a small, fast-paced team and exhibiting a growth mindset
- You’re passionate about a more equitable society and recognise the role that venture capital can play in it

What the job involves
- Deploying B2B digital marketing strategies, such as SEO, PPC, email marketing, and website optimisation
- Creating and distributing promotional material across multiple platforms / marketing channels
- Building and carrying out the strategy and distribution of our social media campaigns to bring in new customers
- Being first POC for external queries and questions.
- Understanding and utilising content analytics to make informed decisions
- Promoting and running events for our community. Attending external events as a Newton representative. You should always thinking about ways to add value for our alumni and help them reach their potential.
- Creating a range of content and creatives to support the programs for social media, our website, and event communications
- Building a sustainable and scalable way to keep in touch with our various partners across the ecosystem / industry

- 2. We will let you know if you’ve been successful or not by 18th November. If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to an brief conversation with our Managing Director. These interviews will take place before Friday 22 November 2024.
- 3. If you’re successful you’ll be invited for an interview in person at our office in King’s Cross. This interview will be with the Head of Product and Managing Director. There will be a task and this will be shared with you ahead of the interview. These interviews will take place on Tuesday 26th or Thursday 28th November.
- 4. There may be one final call if required with a Board Member and Managing Director.

Our take
Newton is an investor training program provider with a mission to make the venture ecosystem more diverse, inclusive, and accessible to the population it serves. Its students - 'Newton Scholars and Fellows' - take part in digital and in-person programmes aimed at giving them a foothold or accelerate their career in the venture capital sector.
A joint venture by London Business School and LocalGlobe, Newton particularly targets previously "underestimated" groups who want to learn more about the technicalities of how venture capital works, including potential investors, company founders and operators. According to Atomico’s respected State of European Tech report, just 0.9% of founders in Europe are Black. Furthermore, according to Diversity.VC, in 2019, just 30% of those working in venture capital were women. Newton wants to help redress this imbalance - that's why its courses aim to ensure a 50/50 gender split, with at least 50% of students coming from Black, Asian or other overlooked backgrounds. In doing so, Newton is strongly aligning itself with the growing social climate favouring greater equity in influential sectors.
Newton has now run eight Fundamentals courses and four Fellowship cohorts and launched a "Foundations" course in 2024 training over 2500 learners. After four years, Newton has established demand and built a strong reputation following on from the success of its learners. Its focus now is on expanding its brand and reach globally.
