What the job involves
- The People Team at Gecko is excited to be bringing on a People Operations Generalist who will be a critical team member involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- The People Team is an agile and hands-on group, unafraid to roll up their sleeves and continually evolve Gecko’s people programming to align our employee’s needs with Gecko’s big aspirations
- We are looking for someone who can flex from one aspect of the employee lifecycle to another while staying curious and determined to learn each component of People Ops before specializing into a specific path
- They will cover everything from talent programs project management, to operational and systems needs, to junior People Partner and employee relations responsibilities and onboarding support
- Assist with Gecko’s new hire “Robot Camp” including ongoing content re-evaluation, scheduling, and other logistical needs
- Liaise with recruiting on new hire handoff and related processes, including sending offer letters post verbal acceptance
- Automate and streamline new hire tasks wherever possible
- Set up performance cycles and 360 reviews in Gecko’s HRIS (Rippling), assist with program management, communications and training of cycles
- Project manage People Lead Training initiatives and other learning and development sessions
- Provide analytical and metrics support of talent performance, potential and attrition
- Provide some people partner support for top line leaders; thinking through talent and organizational needs
- Attend talent review discussions and provide coaching and feedback to people leaders
- Provide employee relations and investigation support
- Create tools and resources to enable current and future ERGs to grow
- Collaborate with ERG leads and sponsors on roadmaps and how to make them more impactful to Gecko
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing including global payroll
- Share responsibility for people ops help desk needs
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding global mobility (non-US) including relocations, employment agreements, and customer service for expats

The critical services of energy, government, and other essential sectors depend on reliable infrastructure, and this is ensured through regular inspections. However, collecting the physical data required for infrastructural inspection is impossible without a variety of specialized equipment, and analyzing the produced data is a highly time-consuming process.
Gecko Robotics provides physical data handling for critical infrastructure inspections, leveraging robot-enabled ultrasonics and cloud-based data processing to serve power, oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemical, and government sectors. The company achieves this by pairing human NDT II/III inspectors with data capturing robots, facilitating the deployment of various advanced inspection techniques to meet any regulatory standards.
Whilst the use of robotic automation for infrastructural inspection is nothing new, Gecko Robotics stands out by offering its Toka robotics series, devices that are sufficiently flexible to collect data in many infrastructural scenarios. The company claims that this technology facilitates the collection of 1000 times more information than existing solutions at 10 times the speed.
Since receiving $73 million in Series C funding, Gecko has expanded its mission to "protect today's critical infrastructure and give shape to tomorrow's", taking on lucrative contracts with the US Navy.
