Who you are
- Agency or In-house Expertise: Proven track record in a marketing agency, design shop, or in-house settings, including experience with new business presentation decks and marketing/advertising campaigns across various mediums
- Event Presentation Proficiency: Experience creating presentations for large-scale events that drive stories, inspire audiences and drive engagement
- Portfolio of Excellence: Showcase a portfolio of original work demonstrating conceptual thinking and results-driven outcomes, highlighting proficiency in Gestalt principles, grid systems, and expressive typography
- Brand Innovation: Proven track record to reinvent brand systems in fresh and compelling ways
- Communication Mastery: Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey ideas and concepts
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Apple Keynote, Google Slides, and Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop). Experience with Motion Graphics Design software (Apple Motion or Adobe After Effects) and/or 3D Modeling, Animation, or Unreal Engine is a plus. Familiarity with AI image generation tools a plus. Familiarity with Asana is a plus
- Feedback and Improvement: Continuously seek feedback and evaluate the success of presentations, making improvements and adjustments for future projects
What the job involves
- We're seeking an Art Director with a keen eye for design and a talent for amplifying narrative through compelling visuals
- As part of our Corporate Messaging team, you'll collaborate with industry leaders to build presentations that captivate audiences, drive customer engagement, and yield outstanding results
- Creative Strategy Leadership for Event Keynotes: Drive global success by leading a team of top-tier designers and partnering with marketers, and agency guides to craft main opening keynotes for our industry defining events - Dreamforce, TrailblazerDX, Connections, and more
- Design Excellence: Concept and create visually spectacular presentations aligned with our brand and messaging objectives, ensuring impactful delivery for executive speakers and event attendees. This involves brainstorming, mood boards, and sketching, slide design, and quality assurance
- Collaboration: Coordinate with internal design partners (visual designers, illustrators, and multimedia specialists) and external vendors/freelancers, providing clear art direction and constructive feedback to enhance creative processes
- Enablement Resources: Develop and maintain resources, such as our corporative narrative deck and the Salesforce presentation template, empowering tens of thousands of Salesforce employees to craft high-quality industry-leading presentations
- Training and Facilitation: Lead training sessions that equip employees to create impactful presentations using brand resources, Apple Keynote, and Google Slides
- Project Management: Demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple projects and meeting ambitious deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic Prioritization: Allocate resources and effort across engagements based on immediate and long-term needs
- Office and Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% of the year (Domestic and International). Ability to be in a Salesforce Regional Office 3 days a week
