Who you are
- 5-7 years of experience in product management with a track record of delivering customer-facing features or experiences
- Strong understanding of user engagement strategies and how to leverage interactive design to drive retention and repeat usage
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex features in a timely manner

What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of innovative interactive experiences that engage and delight users directly within the user interface
- In this role, you will drive the strategy, development, and execution of core capabilities that enable seamless interactivity across the platform, ensuring the successful delivery of features to customers
- Define and own the vision for interactive experiences, driving alignment across stakeholders and ensuring that all initiatives support business and user engagement goals
- Build and scale the foundational platform capabilities necessary to enable a wide range of interactive features
- Partner with engineering, design, data, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality experiences on time and within scope
- Focus on driving key engagement metrics, such as the time users spend engaging with interactive features and the frequency of their return visits
- Act as the primary advocate for interactivity, working closely with leadership to align on priorities and measure the impact of delivered features
- The Discovery Product team’s mission is to transform Roku from the gateway to entertainment to the ultimate destination to be entertained right in our UI. To achieve this mission, we build experiences that are simple, helpful, and entertain our users right in our UI
Our take
According to Nielsen data, the average streamer spends over seven minutes searching for something to watch. Streaming services use customers' viewing history to make suggestions, but these are limited to programs licensed for that particular service.
Roku provides an integrated streaming service that offers TV channels, movies and third-party streaming services, resulting in an all-in-one streaming platform. The service can be accessed through a variety of customized subscription packages and fees.
Roku stands out in the streaming industry by bringing many competitors together in one package. The startup provides further innovative services such as a weekly TV series named 'Roku Recommends' which uses first-party data to recommend essential viewing to users. Alongside funding filmmakers through its "Change Makers Program", Roku also acquired its own original library of shows through its acquisition of now-defunct Quibi's library in 2021. After successful collaborations with TCL and Hisense, the first in-house "Roku Television" was released in 2023, further exemplifying the streaming company's wider ambitions in the media sector.
