Technical Project Manager, PASQAL

• 3+ years of professional work experience (academic or private sector) in IT, industrial research, technology, (applied mathematics, computational physics, computational research, Quantum machine learning, etc.)
• MSc or MEng in a technical field (physics, engineering, computer science, applied mathematics etc.)
• Demonstrable experience in technical project management
• Experience speaking in front of technical and non-technical audiences (ideally in an external customer facing role)
• Team spirit, ambitious, organized, pro-active, sense of urgency… a true pioneer!
• Proven professional experience as a leader
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Professional experience with project supervision in a team setting with 1-5 members per project
• English: a good professional capability is essential (written and oral)

Desirable

• As our Technical Project Manager, you will work among top scientists and developers in the quantum industry on both client projects and grant-based projects
• Supporting your quantum algorithm developers working on quantum algorithm projects, which includes: ensuring alignment of project progress with contractual obligations, guarding timelines and managing deliverables; alignment of project direction with PASQAL's strategy and budget throughout its lifetime; administrative tasks; billing notifications; and more
• Managing several concurrent client projects, investigating the potential of quantum computing for their business use cases and managing client satisfaction. Manage grant projects, ensuring project guidelines are met and partner expectations are managed
• Project supervision for quantum algorithm developers at various levels in their career (Junior, Mid, & Senior level), who deliver on the technical goals of the project
• The projects are primarily long-term R&D projects with clients and collaborators
• Your focus will be on systematic project management, rather than scientific supervision. You will work alongside scientific research leads who supervise the projects from quantum computing technical perspective
• Project topics include primarily algorithm R&D in the domains of differential equation solving, graph machine learning, optimization and quantum simulation
• You will coordinate appropriate resources among algorithm and hardware teams, to develop quantum algorithmic applications suitable particularly for neutral atom quantum processors
• Work closely together with PASQAL’s use case teams to understand which application domains could potentially benefit from industrially relevant quantum advantage
• Support business development efforts by participating in technical presentations and preparatory discussions for new client project leads, including matters of IP and workload
• This position will report directly to our Senior Vice President R&D: Algorithms & Use cases
