Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for a mid-level full-stack engineer to help keep our platform running smoothly
- This is a good fit for someone who enjoys keeping systems clean, secure, and reliable, not just building new features
- Experience as a full-stack engineer in a production system
- Comfortable working across frontend and backend
- Comfortable maintaining existing code, not just writing new features
- Experience with CI/CD and repo tooling
- Comfortable writing scripts / small tools
- Pragmatic and reliable
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a mid-level full-stack engineer to help keep our platform running smoothly
- This role focuses on maintenance, improvements, and operational tooling as well as normal feature work. You’ll help keep dependencies up to date, improve CI/CD, maintain repo health, and support internal operational tasks
- Keep CI/CD pipelines up to date
- Improve repo rules, linting, and tooling
- Fix build / test / config issues
- Support SAR and operational scripting tasks
- Write and maintain small internal scripts and tools
- Support fraud / ops / internal workflows when needed
- Address vulnerability reports and security updates
- Contribute to normal product development work

Waggel targets these untapped customers who cannot or would not commit to a standard annualised insurance policy by offering a pay-as-you-go subscription model.
With customers demanding transparent and digitally-based solutions, Waggel is well-placed for filling this niche and offering a solution for the next generation of pet owners.
