What the job involves
- 90% of your role will be focused on opening and developing the National Foodservice market in Germany
- The other 10% will be starting the groundwork to do the same in some of the smaller EU regions (Switzerland, Belgium & The Netherlands)
- You’ll work alongside our distribution partners to ensure long term success, establish develop collaborative relationships and importantly reaching our key consumers through product and develop plans that reach our consumers and build brand awareness
- Ultimately, you’ll be the heart of the EU Foodservice channel
- Develop and execute the Minor Figures German National Foodservice expansion strategy (along with several smaller markets)
- Full P&L ownership of all National Food Service Partners
- Plan, develop, agree and implement annual agreements with key customer partners that support delivering the overall Minor Figures commercial and brand KPIs and objectives
- Unlock and manage tenders for large Foodservice / National chains
- Monitor, progress and review the plans with the customer developing further growth and contingency plans where needed
- Ensuring delivery of the Minor Figures KPIs of sales, profit, availability and forecasting
- Maintaining customer relationships and building long term partnerships
- Creating collaborative relationships with other internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply)
- You will report into Chris, our Head of Sales for EMEA and work closely with not only the Foodservice team in the UK but also the retail and on trade teams in the UK and Europe
- As well as our teams across the world
- You’ll work closely with the motley crew of teammates across the business that are celebrated for their individuality in a work culture that encourages you to be optimistic, experimental, and daring
- Hours of work will generally be 9.00am – 5:30pm but may vary with workload or by agreement
- We expect that you will attend tradeshows and networking events outside from time to time. Travel will be required to follow up leads and generate sales in accordance with the Minor Figures Travel Policy

Our take
Minor Figures is a brand expressing almost all of the most important consumer trends of today. In terms of its flagship product, Minor Figures is a B Corp producing vegan, sustainable, premium coffee, playing to an exploding niche. At the same time, Minor Figures is much more than just a coffee producer - it’s a holistic brand.
What does that mean in practice? It makes merch, it makes games, it makes clothing. There’s also CBD, chai, and a dedicated music platform called MFFM (Minor Figures FM). That all comes together to create a brand that oozes authenticity and funk - perfectly aligned to a modern, urban audience.
Perhaps then Minor Figures is an entirely new challenger brand narrative. The anti-hero — a challenger brand notable for its absence of a grandiose mission or purpose and with a focus instead on enjoying life, having fun and occasionally poking fun at the very notion of brands as our heroes and saviours.
Whatever it is, it's working. Now selling to over 25 countries and with 2022 investment from French multinational Danone, as long as the company stays true to its roots: coffee and fun, it's hard to see its impressive growth flagging any time soon.
