What the job involves
- Start Date: September 8, 2025
- Hootsuite’s developers would love to help Computer Science/Engineering Co-op students develop their technical skills and knowledge about people, processes, and technology by working with students over their co-op term
- You’ll pair with a mentor and work remotely alongside a passionate and egoless team, having fun building something bigger than themselves
- Experience what it’s like to make a difference in people's lives by building the products that our customers turn messages into meaningful relationships
- You'll work with mentors to learn the craft of Software Development
- Collaborate in small teams to design, build, and ship high-quality software to Production
- Participate in code reviews to continually improve your craft and approach to problem solving
- Iterate in an agile fashion; creating hypotheses and testing them with incremental changes
- Work-out-loud by sharing your work and experiences internally and with our community
- You’ll be working with our FE tech stack (TypeScript, Javascript, React, Redux, React Testing Library, Playwright, HTML/CSS)

Hootsuite is a leading social media management platform that’s been around since the early days of this now-ballooning online sector. With over 18 million customers, and used by over four fifths of the Fortune 1000, this giant is hugely competitive in the space.
Thought Hootsuite's plans for an IPO didn't survive the tough economic conditions of 2022 (like many of its peers, the company engaged in several rounds of layoffs), it has since reworked its leadership team to get back on course as the economy recovers.
Just like its acquisition of Sparkcentral saw the company expand into customer service, its more recent purchase of Talkwalker sees it integrate AI into its platform. The combined offering will supply businesses with a social media performance engine to turn insights into action, all fuelled by artificial intelligence.
