Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of FP&A experience in high-growth consumer technology, e-commerce or health
- Proven ability to build and scale financial processes, such as forecasting models and weekly pacing, from the ground up, particularly in high-growth environments
- Experience in both private and public companies highly valued
- Strong analytical rigor with advanced financial modeling skills and ability to work with imperfect data to drive improvements
- Excellent communication and data visualization skills to translate complex financial insights for cross-functional partners and executives
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Netsuite, and Business Intelligence tools like Sigma. SQL is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in synthesizing large datasets from business intelligence platforms and financial systems to enable data-driven planning and monitoring
- Experience with pricing analysis and strategy development, including competitive positioning and price elasticity modeling
- Strategic thinker who can unlock action from insights and influence business decisions
- Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or related field; MBA preferred

What the job involves
- The finance team at Babylist is growing! In this new role, Finance Manager, Health, you will own and elevate the Health finance team and the overall business of Babylist Health
- You'll drive financial performance, process improvement, and operational efficiency while partnering closely with Health business and operations teams, Merchandising and Inventory Planning, Consumer Product, and Data teams
- This includes deep analysis of order economics, pricing strategy, payer mix optimization, and inventory management
- Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance, you will play a critical role in building robust financial models, improving data quality, and implementing processes to enhance transparency and forecasting accuracy
- Own financial management for the health business, including order economics, pricing strategy, and payer mix optimization
- Build and scale processes to support the growing health business, establishing frameworks where none exist today
- Lead the exploration and development of Babylist's pricing strategy for 2026, including research into pricing tools, competitive analysis, and recommendation of strategic direction
- Drive improvements in data quality and deliver actionable insights that inform leadership and drive measurable business outcomes
- Partner closely with cross functional teams to optimize pricing and connect health offerings to the registry base
- Deliver accurate financial models, forecasts, and business insights that influence strategic decision-making
- Prepare monthly business reviews highlighting key insights on sales, margins, and trends—connecting financial data to actionable business outcomes
- Ensure data integrity of key metrics through collaboration with Data team
- Prepare financial reporting including dashboards, KPI tracking, and executive-level variance analysis
- Design and implement reporting frameworks to enhance operational transparency
- Support board presentations, long-range planning, and other critical business requests

The difference it offers is that it allows users to include products from any store in their registries. On top of this, the company’s model also focuses heavily on creating informational content, which allows it to generate ad revenue while building customer loyalty.
Originally scaled with fairly low venture funding, Babylist claims half of new parents in the US now use its services. This, given that the baby products industry is worth close to $90 billion, shows the company's immense growth and speaks to the impact it has made in the space.
Babylist has seen strong funding in the past, which has fuelled projects such as the launch of virtual showrooms and further expanded the company's presence. The company acquired Expectful, a health and wellness tool, in 2023 with the long-term vision of combining the two companies into a larger health and wellness media property that can help people navigate all aspects of parenthood from fertility to diapers.
