Who you are

- Experience in logistics, supply chain or freight tech is a bonus
What the job involves
- We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team and grow our business
- This AE role will be responsible for bringing in new logos from major freight forwarders (international or local) and large multinational BCO / shippers
- You will have an ambitious sales quota and a steady pipeline generation to support our growth goals
- You will be required to join industry events for additional lead generation and accelerating deals
- Own new logo acquisition across major 3PLs, and shippers
- Break into target accounts and multithread across sustainability, IT, and executive buyers
- Proactively build and convert pipeline through outbound, networking, and events
- Run sharp discovery to uncover operational and carbon-reduction priorities
- Control the deal cycle end-to-end — objection handling, negotiation, and closing
- Deliver compelling demos and articulate clear ROI and operational impact
- Lead negotiations and drive deals from first meeting to signed contract
- Consistently meet and exceed new ARR targets
- Maintain rigorous CRM discipline and accurate forecasting
- Create urgency in long-cycle enterprise sales environments and a market that doesn’t move fast by default
Our take
Transport as an industry contributes massively to greenhouse gas emissions, but it can be difficult to address reducing these emissions as calculations of existing carbon footprints are tedious and inaccurate. Searoutes provides a platform for shippers to calculate and analyse their carbon footprints, enabling them to take intelligent action towards reducing their emissions.
Searoutes’ cloud-based and API-first platform, named Shift, was developed using modern algorithms in a bid to offer an alternative to tracking via spreadsheets. Its technology can process the large databases associated with freight – on the positions of ships, weather, and more – and produce usable information for clients. In addition, the company supplies its own purpose-designed eco-calculator that is able to quantify the carbon footprint of a transport container from its journey.
Searoutes has secured a number of customers, including the global logistics and supply chain company Ceva Logistics. Investment in the company will be used to fund research and development, develop services surrounding its eco-calculator, and grow its customer base.
